The latest dispatch from the Ministry of Openness arrives with the usual courtesy: ban Restore, the AfD, and Marine Le Pen, then seize the military, intern the young in rehabilitation camps, and jail anyone whose posts stray from state-approved thinking. Have a wonderful day. The author signs off as if he has just recommended extra vegetables rather than a three-course meal of martial law, re-education, and digital gulags.
This is not a slip of the tongue. It is the logical endpoint of a certain style of politics that treats electoral success by the wrong voters as an emergency requiring extra-legal surgery. Saxony held an election. The result was not contested. The response, in some quarters, is that the result itself is the problem and must be managed with tanks, camps, and speech police. One is invited to admire the candor. These proposals do not hide behind euphemism. They announce that “free, democratic, and open societies” are best preserved by controlling the army, corralling teenagers, and locking up dissenters. The phrase “at a minimum” is the comic masterpiece. Anything less would apparently leave civilization exposed to the horror of people voting and then talking about it online.
The historical comparison writes itself and does not require name-calling. Twentieth-century authoritarians also claimed they were defending the people from dangerous ideas. They also began with party bans, youth indoctrination, and the militarization of politics against “violent dissent.” The difference today is branding. The same toolkit is now sold as the only way to remain progressive. Mandatory camps for the young so they “adopt progressive ideals” is not education; it is an admission that the ideals cannot survive contact with unfiltered minds. Monitoring and jailing for “undermining state-approved thinking” is not content moderation; it is the state declaring itself the owner of thought.
The beauty, as the accompanying remark notes, is the transparency. No one has to guess. The program is published in numbered form, complete with a polite sign-off. Believe the text. It describes a political project that has grown so confident it no longer bothers to disguise its contempt for elections, speech, and the possibility that voters might choose differently. That project does not look like a defense of democracy. It looks like the thing democracy was invented to prevent. The only remaining question is how many people still pretend they cannot read the list.
Actually this Wolfgang Richter is a parody X account based in Sweden — not the still alive German colonel, the filmmaker that bit the dust in 2025, nor the politician that croaked in 1958 — but his post is a perfect illustration of the ideology and behavior of parasitical and vile Marxist/Leftist politicians and bureaucrats throughout this round thing that we call a planet. Have you seen England’s lately, where citizens are arrested for “offensive” social media posts while Pakistani rapists walk free and alleged terrorists get bail?
When conflict escalates and tribalism takes over, birthright citizenship and every piece of paperwork on Earth will become irrelevant. The end game will be extremely brutal and no prisoners will be taken, regardless of skin shade.
